Lake and Woods is slowly entering the Kitchen Door and beginning to make more remedies for tending to home as well as body, relationships/community and the earth. So to start off with, here's a little something to take care of your cast iron cookware so that it can take care of you.
My Husband and Chef John introduced me to Cast Iron Seasoning over the pandemic, as it became one of his favorite hobbies, let's just say all our cast iron and carbon steel pots and pans are seasoned to perfection.
It's important to maintain and care for your cast iron and that requires monthly seasoning or if your pan gets burned or damaged from something cruddy. After you thoroughly rinse your pan with a chain link scrubber and dried with a towel, heat pan on stove so any moisture evaporates. Take the Cast Iron Seasoning and with a dry cloth dab about 1/4 TSP and coat the entire pan. Place it face down in the oven at 375 degrees for one hour and voila!
Ingredients: I had to use a specific recipe/rations formulated by my husband! Organic Cold pressed Grapeseed and Sunflower Oils blended with Organic Beeswax.
This is for a 2 ounce tin.
