Hair ≗ Rinse / a remedy to support overall scalp & hair health, but also a way to honor your crown and connect to your ancestors, and their hair stories/traditions.
The history of humxn hair is so interesting to me, as it is a symbol of beauty, class, strength, and identity, yet also has the ability to hypnotize and seduce others.
The womxn in my family have always worn their hair short, as not to get in the way of our housework and daily errands, and it is best kept at ear length so it doesn’t become another chore. However I’ve always dreamt of having hair past my breasts, with braids covered in grass, maybe one day when the work is less and i am at rest.
Am i a hair poet?
It’s been a few moons since i made a hair rinse, but this formula is a true gift from the earth gods - a little bit of ocean algae harvested off the coast of Maine and blended with hardy herbs from the sandy soils of Michigan, then extracted in apple cider vinegar.
It is a rich remedy, and contains mucilaginous properties, making it very soothing for dry/itchy scalps, and great for softening and repairing damaged strands. It may also increase circulation and stimulate growth by tending to the follicles, as well as the lymph and nervous systems. Among so much more.
*note this can also be helpful for those who are thinning or hair-free, as it may protect and heal the sensitive skin on our head, as well as spur sensations and stories from your lineage.
